About Nichole

My first family computer was an IBM Aptivia back in the late 90s. Picture it: a time when you paid for internet use by the hour and places like Facebook, Myspace and Blogger didn't even exist. If you wanted to be on the web, you had to build a website yourself, and more than anything in the world, I wanted an archive of my angsty, high school poetry. In an effort to make my repository of teenage turmoil a reality, I taught myself some pretty basic HTML in 1998. Remember those annoying websites with eye-gouging backgrounds, animated flames and scrolling, blinking text? My first site was just like that.

I'd like to think I've improved a little since then. :)

Ironically enough, my time spent in university had nothing to do with computers or the web. In 2005 I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in English from Indiana University. I love to write, to critique and most of all, I still have a deep seated passion for designing and developing websites.
