I like them curves.

June 28th, 2008 Nichole

I’m naturally thin.  Because of that, I think it’s fed my love of women with curves.  Soft, almost plush.  Kickin’ hips and powerful legs, there’s just something about a woman like that.

I hope that doesn’t sound shallow.

I’ve fallen for many friends in my life; most of them didn’t like me that way, yet it all worked out in its own special way.  I remember trying to woo my friend Courtney one summer, back when I was in the middle of college stint.  I didn’t get very far, but the chase and adrenaline and the feeling I would get when I just tried, it was amazing. I want to feel like that again.

She has a boyfriend now, but I still totally value our friendship.  It’s better this way, I think.  Still… it doesn’t mean I don’t wonder what it would be like to kiss her.

Things are progressing.

Trying to get more comfortable on multiple fronts, work especially. Many things to balance there, but I have a feeling it will all lie nice-like in the end… if people don’t lie.

Just keep on trucking. I’m eating well, staying fit and I will be able to do a real pull-up by August. Only 20 pounds more of body weight to go.

Maybe I’ll have a girlfriend by then too?

Maybe. :)

6 months.

And all the anger is gone. It sounds cliche but I really do feel healed. I look back on how I was and cringe; how could I be like that?

I’m glad I made it, even if we are no longer friends.

Ugh.

I’m alive. Just busy. Need to write more on all levels.  At least I wrote two lines for our thing, Zach.

everyday minerals and their new site problems

June 11th, 2008 Nichole

At the beginning of June everyday minerals moved over to their new site. It looks fantastic (just like their makeup), but I wish the site worked as well as it looked. Honestly, I don’t think they were ready to flip from their old one.

There were so many problems that should have been debugged: international and domestic shipping prices being too high, cart problems, checkout problems, database problems, ordering problems. The list goes on and on.

I will say though the staff over there has been working very hard to fix the site so it’s running smooth. I just now managed to order, though I did not see my sample kit in the Items Ordered section of my account. I can do without it this time, I guess. At least the rest of my order was there and I got the 20% off.

So, cheers to everyday minerals. You’re doing a good job. I just wish you had a little better foresight when you switched everything over. That was a major move.

Oh well. You learn best from your mistakes.
